We’re excited to share that Wave Church Wilson is now essentially debt-free on our property!
This includes our 19,000 sq. ft. facility and 27 acres of land, along with two additional parcels acquired and paid for in cash. After exploring an expansion to our current auditorium, we determined that constructing a new, purpose-built building is the best long-term solution for our church and community.
The plan
We intend to build a 16,500 sq. ft. auditorium with a lobby and restrooms on our property.
Once completed:
The current building will be renovated as a multipurpose space for church + community use.
Children’s facilities, youth spaces, and offices will remain where they are.
The current auditorium will be used for youth, young adults, and community activities—and can also function as a gymnasium.
The new building will include dedicated spaces for mothers and babies.
Estimated Cost
We are waiting on final numbers, but current estimates place the project at approximately $3.5 million, including:
Design + sitework + construction + furnishings + seating + AV + LED screens + lobby furniture + equipment.
Our funding approach
Through faithful stewardship, we have already set aside funds to lead this project. We believe we can responsibly move forward through the following steps:
RAISE
Raise $500,000 by February 2027 as an additional contribution. This initiative will begin with our Church Board, Elders, and Staff, who will give above their tithes and Legacy offerings.
COMMIT
We will then invite key business leaders to make financial commitments.
Tithe
Regular tithes and Legacy offerings will continue to support the ongoing mission of Wave Church without interruption.
