DAY 6

February 6, 2018

Before I got saved my life was going downhill very quickly. I was broken, filled with shame, very insecure, had toxic relationships, drowned myself in alcohol and lived without a purpose. I was 25 years old when I gave my heart to the Lord and was radically saved. I had no fear with sharing my faith because I found what I was desperately searching for… JESUS!!!

I knew that my life was going to change, but I had no idea it would lead me to Ministry. I remember singing the song “To the Ends of the Earth” and weeping at the altar. Below are some of the lyrics that forever changed my life:

And I would give the world to tell you’re story
‘Cause I know that you’ve called me
I know that you’ve called me
I’ve lost myself for good within your promise
And I won’t hide it
I won’t hide it
Jesus, I believe in You
And I would go, to the ends of the earth
To the ends of the earth
For you alone are the son of God
And all the world will see
That You are God
You are God

I’ve been a Christian now for 17 years and have learned that when it comes to sharing your Faith… ALL God wants is a willing vessel. If I’m willing to go the ends of the earth for Jesus, I need to be willing to witness to those in my everyday. I want to see the world and make a difference, but if I’m not willing to change the world I’m currently living… why would He send me somewhere else? Be encouraged… It starts with where you are at NOW!!! This verse became so real to me

Isaiah 6:8 (NLT) Then I heard the Lord asking, “Whom should I send as a messenger to this people? Who will go for us?” I said, “Here I am. Send me.”

I absolutely love this year’s theme for Devoted “We’re Better Together”. I have built a friendship with one of the cashiers at one of my favorite grocery stores. She walks to and from work because she doesn’t own a car. As I was leaving the store one day, she asked me if I could give her a ride home because of the snow and I gladly said yes. On the ride home, I got to witness to her, we prayed and she gave her life to the Lord. AMEN, AMEN & AMEN!!!

In Rom 15:1-2 MSG “Those of us who are strong and able in the faith need to step in and lend a hand to those who falter, and not just do what is most convenient for us. Strength is for service, not status. Each one of us needs to look after the good of the people around us, asking ourselves, “How can I help?”

We’re called to help others, so I want to encourage you to change your world because WE ARE BETTER TOGETHER!
