Action Day Fundraiser
As Royal Youth is a part of Wave Church, our Church’s goal is to impact the community around us in a positive way. The Bible says in Matthew 5 that we are to be the light in the world. Our goal this year through your generous donation is to be able to be that light to our community and to our school systems across Hampton Roads. This year our overall fundraising goal is to raise $20,000. In return, we are partnering with Wave City Care to help impact our homeless community in Virginia Beach.
When you donate to Royal Youth, you can sponsor a care package that will be delivered directly to the homeless in Virginia Beach. This care package will consist of basic toiletry needs, snacks and waters as we pray with them. Each care package costs $25. Not only this, but this school year Royal Youth has several students across seven Virginia Beach schools who have stepped out to lead a Bible Study in their schools. We are calling them Royal Youth Clubs. If you are passionate about making a difference in our school system, in light of everything going on in our school systems today, you can sponsor a Royal Youth Club. Each Club session costs $25 to cover food and supplies etc.
Lastly, Royal Youth will be walking 10 miles from Virginia Beach into Norfolk and we will be calling this walk, “City to City.” We believe God has called us to reach young people from city to city until everyone knows about Him. During this walk, we are taking the time to pray over our cities. Our adult leaders will be taking this 10 mile walk starting from our Wave Church Great Neck Campus, down Shore Drive, until we reach Norfolk. We are encouraging our students, with their parent’s permission to participate in this “City to City” walk by walking one mile in their neighborhood. You can participate in this by sponsoring one of our miles by donating any amount. For our students, their goal is to raise $100 by getting 10 people to donate $10. Our adult leaders’ goal is $500, which would be $50 per mile. However, any amount is helpful in reaching our overall goal of $20,000 by the end of Action Day. Would you consider sponsoring a care package, Royal Youth Club, or a mile in our walk? Thank you, in advance, for your generosity!”
Royal Youth is the middle and high school ministry at Wave Church. We exist because our church believes in the next generation. Our services are packed with praise and worship, powerful preaching, and plenty of time for your young people to connect. We believe church should be fun and it should be a PARTY! At the same time, each and every week, we see young people giving their lives to Jesus and having a life-changing encounter with the presence of God.
Come party with us! We want to create an environment where anybody and everybody feels welcome, where they can be equipped to live out their Christian life and reach their world.
Royal Youth meets every first Wednesday from 7-8PM at our Great Neck Campus. On the remaining Wednesdays each month, Royal Youth meets at our Great Neck, Seaboard, and Norfolk campuses from 7-8PM. We have a systematic check-in to ensure a safe environment for all of our young people.
We have both middle school and high school Community Groups that meet every week at each campus. They are led by some of our amazing young adult leaders. Community Groups are the heart of our youth ministry. This is where young people build genuine Christian relationships, are discipled, and can build accountability in their lives. Not to mention, we love to party…

Once every quarter, Royal Youth holds Tribal Wars. Our Tribal Wars are essentially massive games between the students. Why do we do them? Because we can. Young people will find out what tribe they are on based on the Community Group they attend. This year, our tribes are “Raiders” and “Outlaws”.
Summer Camp is one of the major highlights of the year for us here at Royal Youth and in any young person’s life! It is an incredible experience where we go away for a few days and truly encounter the presence of God and build relationships with others that will last a lifetime.
There is so much to do at Summer Camp, anything from the skate park, to the basketball court, the massive high jump, and the giant blob – a must in the lake! There is also insane Tribal Wars, powerful praise and worship, and inspiring preaching that will undoubtedly change your life. Summer Camp is a great experience that no Middle School or High School student should miss out on! We cannot wait to party with you at Summer Camp next summer!
Stayed tuned for next years dates and info.
