It’s interesting how life has become so busy. Somehow we can convince ourselves that having a full calendar equates to having a full life. We have become a society that at any day of the week we can shop, be entertained, find information, and have a false sense of connection and community through the myriad of social media outlets.
A full calendar may mean a full life but it doesn’t necessarily mean a fulfilled life! Jesus said in John 10:10, “I have come in order that you might have life—life in all its fullness.” This life is for us right NOW – it’s not something we need to strive for but it may require a re-positioning of priorities.
I love the scripture found in Psalm 46:10a (MSG). “Step out of the traffic! Take a long, loving look at me, your High God”. This scripture is a great reminder to step out of the busyness, to remove myself from all the voices that vie for my attention, and focus again on Jesus.
So here is a personal invitation for you to join us at Devoted Conference and to create an opportunity to ‘Step out of the traffic” –to take 48 hours out of our schedule to take a long, loving look at our Savior and hear from heaven.
Jesus, thank you for giving me life in all its fullness. I pray for Devoted Conference that as I set aside time to seek you that I will be found by you. I thank you this conference will be a defining moment in the lives of women. I pray our hearts will be open to hear from You and women will come to know you as their Savior.
