You Belong with an Eternal Perspective

In Matthew 28:19-20 the Bible says, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

It is easy to go through the day-to-day ritual of life and forget our earth assignment God has given us. That assignment is to be turned into action, “…go and make disciples of all nations…”

We have never locked eyes with someone who does not matter to God. Every single person we encounter is an eternal being. They are all facing a forever in one of two places. The urgency of the Gospel and the mission of the Church is the fact that what we do on this side of the grave decides where we will spend eternity. Two things last forever, the human soul and the Church. Place your energy on people’s eternity. Whether it is sending an encouraging text, buying someone coffee, asking how someone is really doing, do it all to win people to Jesus. God smiles when we take our focus off ourselves and onto other people and their needs. It is time to step up a BE the Church.

When we align our purpose on earth with our everyday life, God shows up. What are you doing today that is affecting eternity? In other words, who are you ministering to today that you could bring along with you to Heaven? Pray to God and ask Him to open up a door for you to talk to someone about Jesus today.
