I AM SO EXCITED FOR DEVOTED CONFERENCE! Are you?! I suppose as one of the Youth leaders at Wave Church I, of course, am excited for everything that we do – but, really, Devoted Conference is one of my favorite times of year! The reason that I love Devoted as much as I do is because it is the greatest gathering of all generations of women that I have ever had the opportunity to experience. I love that young women, those whom call Wave Church home and those who travel to be a part of the conference, get to see the great power that a company of women can accomplish. It opens one’s eyes to see the potential that they have within themselves to change their families, their communities, and to have a true global impact by fulfilling the dreams God has placed in their heart. I am so inspired by the beautiful, accomplished, brilliant women that surround me during Devoted and it only encourages me to be the best version of myself that God has created me to be. As a more seasoned generation imparts their wisdom and care, a younger generation is encouraged to step into their godly purpose. At Devoted, we truly bring out the best in one another.
Psalm 78:4-7, “We will not hide these truths from our children; we will tell the next generation about the glorious deeds of the Lord, about his power and his mighty wonders…So each generation should set its hope anew on God, not forgetting his glorious miracles and obeying his commands.”
So this year, let’s commit to building up the relationships around us and encouraging all the girls in our world to go after God like never before!
“God, we thank you for your design of generation to generation praise. I pray that as I come into Devoted Conference that you would open my heart to learn from the incredible women that you have placed around me and that I would be a vessel you use to impact those who look to me for leadership. I am thankful for those who have paved a way before me and pray that my actions today would do the same for those after me. In Your name, Amen.”
And to all my middle schooler’s, high schooler’s, and Youth leaders coming to Devoted – we cannot wait to see you and continue to build friendship at the Miss Devoted area designed specifically with you in mind!
