As we approach Devoted Conference, I am extremely expectant, knowing that God will move in your life, if you ask Him to! For me, Devoted has always marked a special time where God has shown up, revealed things to me and given me grace for the season I was in. I want to encourage you, come EXPECTANT, believing God will show up in mighty ways for YOUR life! No matter what you’re walking through, no matter what season you’re in, no matter the lack, no matter the sickness, the highs or the lows, come believing that God will break down barriers in your life. I know that there is NO LIMIT to what God can do in your life through Devoted Conference this year!
I can remember one particular year, 2010, where my husband Joe and I were believing to get pregnant with our first child. We had gone through months of doctor’s appointments and infertility treatments, and the week of Devoted that year, I had started my first round of IVF. I remember the hard moments, the tears, the frustrations, the doubts that went through my mind, and wondering why I had to even go through this in the first place. And I remember standing in worship that night and not wanting to raise my hands- and right then and there I knew I had a choice- to be bitter and negative and not lift my hands, or stand in faith, expecting and believing that God could do something wonderful with this mess, and lift my hands in worship… I chose to lift my hands. A year later, at Devoted Conference 2011, I stood, our son Kingston in my arms, and in total awe of what God had done in my life that past year. Looking back, I’m so thankful I chose EXPECTANCY. Sometimes with expectancy you have to wait, but still stand EXPECTANT. He is SO faithful.
Psalm 5:3 “In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly.”
Philippians 1:6 “Being confident of this very thing, that he which has begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.”
So let me encourage you- bring your girlfriends!!! This is a God breathed conference and we don’t want anyone to miss out on it!
