DEVOTED is ALMOST here!!! Just a couple more weeks!
And as pumped as I am now for the conference to be here, I wasn’t always so excited for its arrival. Years ago, the thought of walking into an auditorium full of women was terrifying. Actually, the thought of walking into any room full of people (and by full I mean at least 2) terrified me. In 2008, when I first came to Wave Church, I was riddle with insecurity and had been suffering from it all my life. I can still remember the pain I felt when I had to stand in the lobby by myself on Sundays. It was so difficult to do when every thought in my head was “you don’t fit in here”. I now know that isn’t true and that it was a lie from the enemy. And in response to that lie I say, I do fit in here. Not only do I fit in here, God specifically knit me into the story of Wave church and into the lives of the people here. And if I wasn’t here, a major part of the story would be missing. And the same goes for you. If you weren’t here, it would be like reading a book with one of the major characters removed. It just wouldn’t make sense.
The bible says in Ephesians 3:12 “Because of Christ and our faith in him, we can now come boldly and confidently into God’s presence.”
And just a reminder, God’s presence is all over your life. And it’s in this place. And it will be at the conference. So you can walk BOLDLY and CONFIDENTLY into your job, your home and the doors of Wave Church and know that YOU, gorgeous, are at home where you were always meant to be.
This is YOUR year, this is YOUR conference and WE are YOUR family. Your story is waiting…
Prayer: God I thank you for your confidence and the boldness you have given me. I know that you have created me for such a time as this! And because of who you are in my life, I will do great things for your Kingdom. In Jesus name.
