A couple of years ago, I moved to Virginia Beach and attended my freshman year of college… I knew Wave Church was where I was going to be planted. I was so nervous leaving my friends and family and finding new friends. I remember thinking, ‘I probably won’t find my best friend here.’ Years later, I laugh at that because I found my very best friend through volunteering and being a part of Wave Church! A best friend that is a true sister!
I have found a best friend that pushes me in my walk with God. At Devoted Conference, you are surrounded by so many women that are on the same path as you are. Maybe you are struggling with finding a great group of fellow ladies to do life with. I challenge you to pray and really believe you will meet some of your best friends this year at Devoted Conference. Be open to new relationships, sit with someone that you have never sat with before, and see how God uses that in your life.
I think of the scripture, Ephesians 4:16 NLT
“He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.”
God has designed us to be in relationship with others and to do life WITH people, not by ourselves. I encourage every girl coming to devoted this year and step out of your comfort zone and be intentional with your relationships.
