Deuteronomy 7:9 (ESV)
Know therefore that the LORD your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations,

A covenant is an agreement, a treaty, an alliance, or a contract made between two or more persons/entities. It is a promise or set of promises, usually made under seal —something that is legally binding.

Exodus 15:26 (ESV)
the faithful God said, I am the Lord your healer.

Exodus 23:25 (ESV)
he said, and I will take sickness away from among you.

Exodus 19:5 (ESV)
If you keep my covenant, you shall be my treasured possession among all peoples. The covenant made them special, God’s chosen people.

Deuteronomy 7:9 (ESV)
says, God keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him. Other trans say he shows mercy.

The Hebrew word for steadfast love is hêsêd [HAH·sed]. Scholars say it is an untranslatable word.

Jeremiah 31:31-32 (ESV)
Behold, the days are coming, declares the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah, not like the covenant that I made with their fathers on the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, my covenant that they broke, though I was their husband, declares the LORD.

Jeremiah 31:33 (ESV)
For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the LORD: I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

Colossians 2:11 (ERV)
In Christ you had a different kind of circumcision, one that was not done by human hands. That is, you were made free from the power of your sinful self.

God is not interested in dating you. He wants to be “married” to you. Some people want the benefits of marriage without being married, it doesn’t work that way.
