Sow and Seek

We live in a world where people are constantly sowing and seeking. Naturally, we sow into what we are seeking, whether it be love, fulfillment, status, or something more temporal like a promotion or a raise at work.
Hosea 10:12 New Living Translation (NLT)
I said, ‘Plant the good seeds of righteousness,
and you will harvest a crop of love.
Plow up the hard ground of your hearts,
for now is the time to seek the Lord,
that he may come
and shower righteousness upon you.’
It’s so easy to come across a verse like this, read it and miss the reality that we have been consumed with sowing our time, efforts and passion into things that in the grand scheme of life don’t really matter.
I love what Wave Conference represents. It’s so much more than just a conference or an event. It is a time where we as believers choose to set aside a few days to come together and seek after God, believing that He will show up in such a way that we would all leave full of life, inspired, full of vision and ready to be all that God has called us to be.
I believe that when we simply choose to sow in to the things of God and seek after Him, God always shows up in ways that we never could have imagined. Ephesians 3:20 (MSG) says, “God can do anything, you know —far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams…” All it takes is for us to seek Him.
As we head into Conference, I encourage you to seek after God like never before. Let’s take God at His Word and seek after Him, knowing that He will show up not only at a conference but also in our everyday lives. Let’s choose to sow righteousness, go after God, lay down all the things that we desire and seek after Him. In doing this, we will reap fresh vision, anointing, and purpose for our lives.
