Limitless. So excited by this headline for Wave Conference 2019! This has to be the central idea to all God is and does. This headline taps into the center of Gods ways and work. It is not a part of God, it is God and His nature. There are no limits!
Throughout the coming ages we will be the visible display of the infinite limitless riches of his grace and kindness, which was showered upon us in Jesus Christ.
Ephesians 2:7 TPT
This verse says it all. I like to think that God is simply big, which, of course includes the idea above. The difference is that we can sometimes get consumed by the small that we forget the big, or limitlessness of Gods nature. To really appreciate God and His ways we must see that He works in the big first, He works from His limitless power first. We get consumed by the details but He starts from no limitations. God always starts with the large in mind then works to the details. We often start with the detail in mind and work to the large. He starts with no limitations, none, then works to the detail.
I am making a point that in many ways we are fixated by the small, the limits in our lives of which in God there are none. Think of when Jesus talked of the church in Matthew 16. He said the gates of hell will not prevail against it then, in Matthew 18 He spoke of the small issues we have in life and how to solve them. Matthew 18 says when we meet in church there will be issues. These are limits and small thinking but God starts without limit. Jesus only mentioned the church twice so this is significant.
Think of creation. God started with the space, the void, the expanse and the world without limits. Later in the creation moment He made man. A man without limit. Think of the five, two and one talent servants when they meet the master. He gave them so much but one only saw the detail. Just the one talent and all the reasons he could not reproduce the talent.
So often, we are only caught in the detail, the detail of issues in our world, the things we have to get done, the challenges in our lives, but to God, the limitless one, these are just details. He works from a limitless perspective and encourages us to do the same. Our perspective changes everything. God works from the big, the limitless to the detail. Have we in some ways turned perspective around where we work from the detail to the big?
When faced with challenges and problems we should start with the limitless One in mind, the possibilities and bigness of God. I am sure Wave Conference 2019 will be a moment of perspective shift, a time of challenge to see things in a new way.
Not only should we apply this to our lives but to our work, church and family. He truly is wanting to do so much for us. He is looking to open doors and opportunities that can move us forward. Be careful of the small, detail and limits. See the limitless God at work and His power to change the place we find ourselves.
Pray today that your mind and heart will be challenged and changed. Pray that God will show His limitless power in your world and life. Pray for the conference that people will encounter the limitless power of God.
