The Way I See It Part 3 by Pastor Joe Riddle

Mark 1:14b-15 (NASB)
Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of God, and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.”

Colossians 1:13-14 (NASB)
For He rescued us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

When Christ saves you, He transfers you into His Kingdom.

Romans 14:17 (NASB)
for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

The Kingdom exists in the middle of some of life’s most difficult experiences.

Matthew 16:18-19 (NASB)
I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades will not overpower it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind on earth shall have been bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall have been loosed in heaven.”

The church is a community mobilized for the expansion of the Kingdom of God.

We have a mission no other institution on earth has been entrusted with!

Matthew 28:18-20 (NASB)
And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

The Church belongs to Jesus.

Matthew 28:18 (NASB)
And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.

The Church was made to move.

Matthew 28:19a (NASB)
Go therefore…

The Church has a clearly established definition of success.

Matthew 28:19b-20 (NASB)
make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. teaching them to observe all that I commanded you

The Church is timeless.

Matthew 28:20b (NASB)
and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
