Throughout the coming ages we will be the visible display of the infinite limitless riches of his grace and kindness, which was showered upon us in Jesus Christ.
Ephesians 2:7 TPT
I love this verse, for it is so simple yet so complex in its detail. Limitless is defined as being without limit or boundless. I love that we see over and over again in the Bible the limitless nature of our God. Moments where chaos and at times the unimaginable is taking place and God moves and everything changes. For example we see this In Matthew 14:25-33 where Jesus walks on water and calls Peter to walk with Him…
Shortly before dawn Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake. When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. “It’s a ghost,” they said, and cried out in fear. But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”
“Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.” “Come,” he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!”
Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?” And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down. Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.”
In this verse we see firstly the limitlessness of our God where He was not only walking on water but also called Peter to walk with Him. Secondly, we can either limit God or walk in His limitless nature as well. It was Peters fear and lack of belief that caused him to begin to sink and ultimately what Limited him from walking on the water with Jesus.
God wants us to operate in the limitlessness of His grace, and all it takes from us is our faith and openness to seeing Him move. I love that we have themed this years Wave Conference as “Limitless” because that’s what God is calling us to. No matter what our season of life might look like, He is simply asking for our Faith, and to simply be willing and open for Him to move. The most incredible part is that when we come with this spirit we get to operate in the grace that He has for us and there is no limit to what He can and will do in and through us. In our desperation to see Him move and do the impossible, He always shows up. Our prayer is that through this conference we would be reminded and begin to understand afresh the call He has for all of us – which has no limit.
So leading into this conference lets be a people who choose to simply say, “God, we are open and ready to see You move, to see everything change through our encounter with You.” Lets walk in the love and grace that He has for us. A love that shattered all limits through the Sacrifice of Jesus on the cross, and finally lets believe for this to not just be a conference with the trendy title “Limitless,” but lets be intentional in our belief in seeing Him show up in ways we never thought possible. And the most incredible part is that when we do this He does even greater things than we could ever think, dream or imagine.
